About SEAKIN

We believe kin is more than blood

We recognize one another. In the rhythm of a voice. In the memory held by an object. In the instinct to turn what we have inherited into something entirely our own.

SEAKIN exists to bring us closer.

Closer to the artists, designers and makers shaping Caribbean culture across the islands and diaspora. To the stories behind what they create. To the traditions they preserve, reinterpret and carry forward.

The work may be entirely new, yet the connection is unmistakable.

It is not sameness. It is kinship.

We are drawn to what carries that feeling — pieces made with intention, imagination and a deep sense of self. Objects refined through discipline, curiosity and years of becoming. Creations that reveal something singular about their maker while remaining connected to something larger.

SEAKIN is a place for work like this, and for the people behind it.

We begin with Wave Makers, a SEAKIN Original Podcast featuring intimate conversations with the artists, designers and makers shaping Caribbean beauty and culture.

These are stories of identity, mastery and becoming.Stories about what people create, what the making has asked of them, and the experiences that made them capable of it.

Because what we encounter is only the final expression. Behind every remarkable object, collection or idea is someone who kept returning — who studied, experimented, remembered and refined. Someone who learned what to inherit, what to reinterpret, and how to make something unmistakably their own.

It deserves to be encountered with the same care it was made with.

SEAKIN will grow slowly, guided by discernment, curiosity and a deep respect for the maker’s hand. Over time it will become a place to discover and experience the fullest expression of Caribbean creativity — where every introduction feels considered, where makers are known for the singularity of what they make, and where people return because they trust what they’ll find.

A place Caribbean makers are proud to belong. A place where what they create is met with the depth, beauty and possibility it deserves.

Across islands and generations, we remain connected by what we recognize in one another.

One family, united by the sea.
